Day 2 - Wanaka

With a great reputation for food and wine, the lively town of Wanaka also has the stunning backdrop of snow capped mountains and the crystal clear of Lake Wanaka. Here you will have the opportunity to photograph the famous Wanaka Tree, only a short walk from the foreshore of town with the possibility of shooting astrophotography.

During our time at Mt Cook we will cover multiple locations including the near by Lake Pukaki, Tasman Glacier and Hooker Lake. Our longest walk of the trip will include the 10km easy-moderate walk along the Hooker Valley track.

*Optional Extra - There may be an opportunity to do a scenic flight of the area as part of our workshop. This will be an optional exercise that is not included in the cost of the workshop and will be weather dependant.

Day 5 - Tekapo

Your chance to capture a shot of the famous Church of the Good Shepard. Situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo with stunning glacial blue waters as your backdrop. The possibility of capturing the Milky Way over the church is also possible if clear skies are forecast!
