The North Morocco tour takes on a vastly different palate from the South. The north is a region of remarkable diversity, with a rich history, a vibrant culture, and stunning natural beauty. The rustic countryside of the south is replaced by green rolling hills and coastlines visited by many ancient influences.

This itinerary provides us with cosmopolitan cities to photograph along with walled towns along a backdrop of the azure waters. Lead by award-winning photographer Andy Yee, and accompanied by Ali Ait Karroum, this tour will push your photography to the next level. The intimate group size is designed for personal attention to develop your photographic vision.

Day 1: Casablanca

The workshop starts in Casablanca, the art deco heart of Morocco and also home to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most impressive in the world.

Day 2: Rabat

Rabat, the capital of Morocco, contrasts the modern development and the classic traditional charm on a coastal seascape. Wooden fishing boats still traverse the river against the quaint neighborhood of the Kasbah Oudaya. The city includes a full range of monuments as well as architectural and decorative elements from various dynasties

Day 3 + 4: Asilah - Tangier

We explore the international art hub of Asilah and move on to Tangier, a city rich in creative history and street photography opportunities. Serving as the European gateway to Africa, its diverse influences make Tangier unique in Morocco.

Day 5 + 6: Chefchaouen

The Blue Peal of Morocco, Chefchaouen, is one of the most photogenic cities in the world. Opportunities will surround us as the entire town is awash in blue from the streets to homes. We explore within and take in views of the town from its surrounds.

Day 7 + 8: Volubilis -Meknes - Fes - Middle Atlas

The ruined Roman city of Volubilis allows us to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site for beautifully preserved mosaics amongst the surrounds of the rolling green hills.

The Middle Atlas Mountains stretching through the north are a breathtaking range of rolling hills and peaks. They are known for their stunning natural beauty, dense forests, and sparkling lakes.

The ancient medina of Fes is a labyrinth of possibilities for photographers. It provides boundless insight into its colorful origins as the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco. The Fes tannery and its many souks offer a window into the history of Morocco.

Day 9: Casablanca

We head back to Casablanca for our final sessions and will try and allocate some time to review and edit some images from the tour. Participants are encouraged to make bookings to depart from November 12 onwards.

We understand getting the photo into the card is only half of the battle. During the workshop, there will be time to go over post-processing to help you create images that pack a punch. Our photographers will sit down with you to assist your selection process, Lightroom and Photoshop workflows and techniques, and develop your best images, so you can showcase the finest Morocco has to offer.
